About the role
Every client network we manage is different: different vendors, different offices, different risk tolerance. You're the person who plans it, sets it up correctly the first time, and keeps it that way once it's live, so that when something does go wrong, you already know the network well enough to find it fast.
You'll spend your time split between design work (planning a new client's network, firewall rules, VPN setup) and keeping existing infrastructure healthy: monitoring for anomalies, applying patches, responding when something trips an alert. Most of our clients are based in Amman, so a good part of the job is on site, racking equipment, running cable, sitting with a client's IT contact to understand what they actually need versus what they asked for.
What you'll be doing
- Designing and deploying client networks, including switching, routing, firewalls and VPNs
- Hardening systems against common attack vectors and keeping configurations up to date
- Monitoring network health and security alerts, and responding to incidents when they happen
- Documenting network topology and configuration changes so the setup isn't only in your head
- Working on site with clients across Amman for installs, troubleshooting and planning sessions
What we're looking for
- Solid working knowledge of networking fundamentals: routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs
- Experience with incident response and basic security hardening, not just theory
- Comfort working hands-on with physical equipment as well as configuration on a screen
- Clear, organized documentation habits
- A driving license and willingness to travel to client sites in and around Amman
Nice to have
- CCNA or an equivalent networking certification
- Experience with a specific firewall vendor (Fortinet, Palo Alto, pfSense or similar)
- Exposure to security frameworks or compliance requirements relevant to healthcare or government clients
This is an on-site role based in Amman, with regular travel between our office and client locations.
